Privacy policy

This privacy policy illustrates the methods used by Cargo International when processing your personal data, according to the principles of correctness, lawfulness and transparency, in order to protect your privacy as provided by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation).
Cargo International has implemented a series of measures to protect personal data which may be communicated by you to us within the scope of the activities covered by the service requested (e.g. your first name and surname, identification document, telephone number, email address, bank details, etc.) and that are necessary for the fulfilment of the agreed terms and conditions of service, including legal obligations. Failure to provide such data could therefore make it impossible for Cargo International to fulfil the above obligations.
The Cargo International management system for the Protection of Personal Data requires that:
  • your data are communicated only to entities which are strictly required for the performance of the service described in the contract
  • your data are not used for promotional, marketing and profiling activities
  • delectronic data are stored within the company’s computer systems in a restricted access area and paper documents are stored in secure archives, which may only be accessed by authorized personnel, for the following purposes:
    • the updating and erasure of your personal details contained in our management information system, based on your explicit request;
    • the fulfilment of obligations provided for by civil, customs and tax laws, regulations and EU legislation
  • You may, at any time, exercise the following rights as provided for in the following articles of the Regulation:

with notification to the email address privacy@cargointernational.it, which we will fulfil through specific procedures to:

    • obtain a description of how your data are processed;
    • obtain a description of how your data are stored in the company’s computer systems;
    • obtain a description of the persons and entities (whether resident in the EU or in third countries and international organisations) to whom your personal data have been disclosed in order to complete the necessary activities for the performance of contractual obligations by Cargo International;
    • obtain the rectification, erasure or restriction of processing of your personal data;
    • oppose the processing;
    • obtain a copy of your personal data, which is being processed, in a common electronic format, which you can use;
  • You are informed about the safeguards which Cargo International has verified, before transferring your data to third countries not part of the EU;
  • You are informed, without undue delay, when a personal data breach is likely to present a high risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons.
Our Company will inform you of the action taken, regarding a request relating to your rights, without undue delay and, in any case, no later than a month from receiving the request. If you submit your request by electronic means, the information will be provided, where possible, by electronic means, unless you indicate otherwise.
